Easters involves more than 300 students from across Australia who compete through six preliminary rounds to reach the knock out finals for the top 16 teams who then contest the title of Australian Champions in the Grand Final on Sunday 27th April.

Easters is a tournament specifically designed for debaters who have never debated at university before. As such, this is the perfect opportunity for MUDS debaters to get used to university debating, while getting to know debaters from Melbourne and all around the country.

Last year Melbourne Uni sent the largest contingent in the country and ultimately had a team in the Grand Final as well as the tournament's best speaker and best novice speaker!!

Some of the Keynote Speakers during the event include Professor Ros Atherton, Australian Law Reform Commissioner and Justice Michael Kirby AC CMG, High Court of Australia.

Easters is open to MUDS members of all ages.

MUDS will be forming teams for Easters at the MUDS night on the 1st of April. Come along to join the fun.
