Easters Training Day
Friday 19 March, 2010
On Sunday March 28 in the Hercus Theatre (David Caro Physics Building), MUDS is holding an Easters Training Day for everyone attending the tournament. This is a chance to receive excellent training and to practice debating with your team. If you are adjudicating at the tournament, then this is a prime opportunity to get a feel for adjudication or brush up your skills after the holiday period.
The day comprises two training sessions by a highly esteemed, exceptionally qualified debater and adjudicator who has many times graced us with his presence. Tim Sonnreich will be teaching you about general debating skills as well as giving you information on areas of interest for the tournament. There will also be two rounds of debating with extensive feedback on areas where you can improve.
The Training Day is compulsory for all people attending Easters. You are also welcome to attend if you are interested in learning more about debating but didn't get a place at the tournament. Those who fit into the latter category are asked to send an email to member.training@mudsonline.net by March 21 at the latest.
While the day in itself is free, we ask that you bring $5 so that we can order pizza for your lunch. There won't be enough time for you to go in search of your own food. If you don't like the idea of spending another $5, you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch but there will be no opportunity to leave the training day in order to buy food.
We look forward to seeing you there.
