The Society's public debates continue a long tradition of public speaking at the University. MUDS organises public debates in order to showcase high-profile speakers in arguments about diverse and controversial topics and to give the public the opportunity to be exposed to public debate.
On the evening of Tuesday, August 26th, MUDS will host a debate on climate change policy. Among other speakers, this debate will feature State Minister for Climate Change and Environment Gavin Jennings. The debate will take place on a Tuesday evening in August or September. Stay tuned for details!
Details of previous public debates are available online.
