MUDS runs regular member training nights for members. These nights include a variety of debating and adjudication training sessions and are a great way to learn the secrets of our top debaters!These nights are a perfect way to meet members of the club, practice your debating before internal competitions and IVs and try new types of debating. They are also great for people unable to commit to the full course of a competition but want a chance to debate anyway! So come along on a Tuesday night, and let MUDS show you the fantastic world that is, debating! Day: Tuesdays

Training Program for Semester 2, 2006 | Welcome Back | 25th July | Find out about everything that happens in Semester 2 and watch a demonstration British Parliamentary debate of our best speakers. | | BP Training | 1st August | Learn the rules and tactics of British Parliamentary then get paired up with an experienced speaker for a practice debate. | | BP Adjudication Training | 8th August | Learn the art of BP adjudication - vital for understanding the style - and do a practice adjudication with an experienced adjudicator. | | Hamish Malcolm Cup | 15th, 22nd, 29th August, 12th Sept, 10th Oct | Participate in the BP competition for Semester 2 | | Train the Trainer | 5th September | Join this program to learn how to coach debating and join the MUDS schools training team | | Advanced Training | 3rd October | Learn advanced tactics and techniques for BP. | | | | |
For further training and experience, we are also holding several Sunday intensive training and practice debate days as well as a novice intervarsity British Parliamentary day, which includes training for both debaters and adjudicators. For more information, please check back later.
